According to Microsoft’s official documentation, the minimum system requirements for running Windows 11 are:
- Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster with 2 or more cores on a compatible 64-bit processor or System on a Chip (SoC)
- RAM: 4 gigabytes (GB) or more
- Storage: 64 GB or larger storage device
- System firmware: UEFI, Secure Boot capable
- TPM: Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0
- Graphics card: DirectX 12 compatible graphics / WDDM 2.x
- Display: A display with a resolution of 720p or higher, greater than 9″ diagonal, and 8 bits per color channel.
Note that these are the minimum requirements, and for the best performance, Microsoft recommends that your device meets the recommended system requirements, which include a faster processor, more RAM, and a larger storage device. It’s also worth noting that not all older devices that meet these minimum requirements will be able to run Windows 11, as Microsoft has set additional hardware and software compatibility requirements that may not be met by older devices.
