Unfortunately, you cannot send direct messages (DMs) on Instagram from a computer. Direct messaging on Instagram is only available through the mobile app. To send a DM on Instagram from your mobile device, follow these steps:
- Open the Instagram app on your smartphone or tablet.
- Go to the profile of the person you want to message.
- Tap the “Send Message” button (represented by a paper plane icon) in the top right corner of the screen.
- Type your message in the text field and hit “Send.”
If you have a computer and don’t have access to a mobile device, you can use an emulator or virtualization software to access the Instagram app on your computer. An emulator is a program that allows you to run mobile apps on your computer as if they were on a mobile device. With an emulator, you can use the Instagram app on your computer and send DMs just as you would on a mobile device.
